Michael K. Williams in de Han Solo film

De geruchten gingen al even de ronde, gestart door Variety, maar Lucasfilm heeft inmiddels officieel bevestigd dat acteur Michael K. Williams deel uit maakt van de cast van de Han Solo film van volgend jaar.

Lucasfilm gaf geen enkel detail weg als het gaat over de rol van Williams, hoewel de geruchten gaan dat hij de grote bad guy in het verhaal gaat spelen.

De officiële Star Wars website meldde het volgende:

StarWars.com is thrilled to announce that Williams has officially signed on for the upcoming untitled Han Solo Star Wars movie. Williams comes to Star Wars having played many memorable roles in both TV and film, including Omar Little in The Wire and Albert “Chalky” White in Boardwalk Empire, bringing charisma, humanity, and nobility to all his performances.
