De opnames van Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens mogen dan afgerond zijn, maar de Star Wars productie ligt niet lang stil. Volgens bronnen van JediNews.com zouden de opnames voor de eerste spin-off film van Star Wars al beginnen in februari 2015 in de Pinewood Studios in Engeland. Zo volgen de Star Wars producties elkaar in hoog tempo op. De sets van de spin-off zouden zelfs al helemaal klaar zijn voor gebruik. De aankondiging van de cast zou over 2 a 3 weken al plaats vinden. Echter meld MakingStarWars.net dat de sets nog gebouwd moeten worden. Wie er gelijk heeft weten we uiteraard nog niet.
Volgens geruchten zal Han Solo de hoofdrol in de spin-off moeten krijgen en acteur Aaron Paul, bekend van Breaking Bad, zou voor die rol gevraagd zijn. De vraag is nog maar of het ook daadwerkelijk gaat om de rol van Solo.
De spin-off film zal in 2016 in de bioscoop moeten komen. In de nabije toekomst verwachten we meer nieuws over deze film. Wij houden jullie op de hoogte.
